The goal of the Lilead Project (est. 2011) is to study, support, and build community among school library leaders. The Lilead Project Team, based at the University of Maryland’s iSchool and in partnership with Old Dominion University’s Darden College of Education and Professional Studies, conducts this work through
- the Lilead Survey, collecting data to report on the roles, responsibilities, and impact of school district library supervisors;
- the Lilead Fellows Program, offering long-term professional development critical to district library supervisors; and
- the Lilead Leaders Program, providing online professional education to all school library leaders.
