Suzanna Panter

Suzanna L. Panter is the new Innovator Facilitator for Libraries in Tacoma Public Schools. Prior to this position she served three years as the Educational Specialist for Library Services in Henrico County Virginia Public Schools, winner of AASL’s 2011 National School Library Program of the Year. Suzanna was an elementary educator and school librarian for 10 years. She was an ALA Emerging Leader in 2009 and was chosen to attend the first ALA Leading to the Future Institute in 2013. In 2012, her school library won the Virginia Association of School Librarian’s: Library Program of the Year award, becoming the first elementary school to do so.

Suzanna is a Lilead Fellow and is very active in AASL serving as Secretary of the supervisors section. She has published articles in Knowledge Quest and LMC, as well as presented at numerous state and national conferences.  She has spoken at SXSWedu, TLA, and has been featured in Publishers Weekly as an expert in school librarianship.
