East Baton Rouge Parish Schools
Susan Gauthier, Director of Library Services, works with school libraries in East Baton Rouge Parish Schools in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was previously the Library Media Specialist working with teachers and students at Sherwood Middle Academic Magnet School in her school district. She also worked as an Educational Technology Consultant developing and supporting several professional development programs at the Louisiana Department of Education. Susan has twenty five years of experience in education, including sixteen years in Louisiana schools and nine years of coordinating educational technology programs for the Department of Education. Susan was awarded the 2014 School Library Media Specialist Award that recognizes the outstanding contributions of a school library media specialist within Louisiana. Susan is a Google Certified Teacher, STAR Discovery Educator and a 2014 Lead PBS LearningMedia Digital Innovator.
