Central Unified Public Schools

I started my career in education in the late 1980s and taught history for three years but “retired” to get married in 1990.  Eleven years later, in 2001, I lucked into the world of school libraries as I returned to teaching.  I began at Central High School East campus in August of 2001 and received my Library Media Credential and Masters from Fresno Pacific University.  After 13 years as a Teacher Librarian, I was hired to be the Supervisor of Library Services for Central Unified and am now completing my third year in that position.  I am currently completing the course work for my Administrative Clear Credential with the Fresno County Office of Education.  I am also a member of the California Young Reader Medal committee representing CSLA and to say I love to read is a huge understatement; on this committee one needs to read up to 300 books a year.  I am passionate about animals, especially my precious beagle Kira who will be 11 this May, and adore my crazy family and my friends who bless me with their love, acceptance and kindness every day.
